Thanks to PDS photographer John D'Auria, I had the opportunity to cover a pro boxing card at Black Bear Casino near Cloquet. A very interesting experience, and in many ways not my sub-culture, but it made for some stunning images.
I chose these 3 not just because they were some of my favorites, but because they were taken seconds apart and tell the story of the contest that lifted Al "Haitian Temptatian" Sands out from the #3 MN ranking into the spot formerly occupied by #1 Harley "Sand Man" Kilfian. This was definitely the highlight bout of the night.
